2013 NuSmile Graduate Student Research Award Competition

The Graduate Student Research Award (GSRA) sponsored by NuSmile Pediatric Crowns and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry is an awards competition for current residents and recent graduates of pediatric dentistry residency programs. Following a review process, the AAPD Council on Scientific Affairs will select eight finalists to present their research at the 2013 AAPD Annual Session in Orlando, Fla. The GSRA recipient judged to have accomplished the most outstanding research project will receive the Ralph E. McDonald Award and an additional cash award. Established in 1991, the award honors Ralph E. McDonald, AAPD past-president and editor emeritus.

Finalists receive complimentary Annual Session registration for themselves and a guest, complimentary hotel stay, air-travel expense reimbursement up to $500, a cash award and recognition during the AAPD General Assembly. A matching cash award is given to each finalists training program. Submissions will be available in November.

New this year, the GSRA abstracts are included in the same submission process as the Poster Research Competition. All abstracts must be submitted by Jan. 14, 2013.
