Accepting Applications: Leadership Institute IV to Begin in December 2013

Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children: The Foundation of the American A emy of Pediatric Dentistry (HSHC) is proud to announce applications are being accepted for the fourth cohort of Leadership Institute at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. More than 90 pediatric dentists and corporate partners have graduated from the program and we look forward to welcoming 30 new dentists into the class of 2013-15.

Recognizing that pediatric dentist leadership is critical to HSHCs mission of helping children in need, Leadership Institute provides the opportunity for pediatric dentists to grow and refine their skills and beco leading advocates in the fight for childrens oral health care. The leader stitute embodies and promotes these characteristics and we encourage all q members to apply.

Leadership Institute IV is intended for AAPD members for all professional career tracks, including those starting their careers, in

mid-careers, or seasoned leaders. All applicants shall have a track record of potential or proven leadership in the AAPD, HSHC, or other volunteer services.

Applicants must be willing to attend the four-day on-site course instruction at Northwestern Universitys Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, Ill., each December in 2013, 2014, and 2015. Instruction begins after lunch on Thursday and concludes with lunch on Sunday.

Tuition is just $4,500 since the majority of program costs are underwritten by AAPD and HSHC. Tuition is due in full upon acceptance by the selection committee. Tuition, once paid, is nonrefundable and not eligible as a charitable contribution. Tuition includes instruction, course materials, lodging and all meals on-site. The participant is responsible for all travel expenses to and from Northwesterns Evanston campus.
