Welcome to the 2014 American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Annual Session in Boston!

November 2013 Volume XLIX Number 6

Boston is a vibrant, thriving city renowned for its cultural facilities, world class educational institutions, champion sports franchises, as well as its place at the very forefront of American history. Our host hotel, the Sheraton Copley Hotel is connected to a complex of hotels, the upscale Copley Place Mall, and the Hynes Convention Center, where the meeting takes place. The famed Newbury Street featuring fine dining and shopping is only one block to the north, while the nationally acclaimed Museum of Fine Arts is a short walk to the west. Take a stroll along the Freedom Trail from the Boston Commons to Faneuil Hall, or ride in the historic trollies or the oldest Duck Tours in the country to experience the treasures of Boston.

On behalf of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Local Arrangements Committee, we are honored to be your hosts for an exciting and educational 67th Annual Session. The Scientific Program Committee has worked diligently to develop a program that incorporates much of the local talent from some of the leading medical and dental centers of the world. As always there will be a strong educational balance encompassing caries research, dental materials, pathology and orthodontics to practice management, staff enrichment and technology. We guarantee that there is something for everyone.

We wanted to thank John Rutkauskas, and the AAPD staff of Tonya Almond, Kristi Casale, and Debra Gilbert for helping plan great venues throughout the city for all of the events. If you have never been to Boston, you and your family are in for a real treat! Mark your calendars now and plan on joining us at the Annual Session in Boston, May 2225, 2014.

Welcome to Bean Town!
