ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act)
AAPD conferences are ADA compliant. We strive to take the appropriate steps required to ensure that no individual with a disability is excluded, denied services, segregated or otherwise treated differently. Individuals requiring special assistance must make the appropriate notation on the registration form and contact the AAPD Meeting Services Department. All requests for special accommodations under ADA must be made allowing enough time for evaluation and appropriate action by AAPD.

Attire The Scientific Program is business casual. We recommend you have a sweater or light jacket available in case you find the meeting rooms too cold. The Welcome Reception is casual; come dressed ready to explore! The Presidents' Farewell Dinner is cocktail attire.

Continuing Education Credit

The AAPD is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. Credit is awarded on an hour-for-hour basis. Attendees should claim only those hours of credit that they actually spent in the educational activity.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.

Meet & Greet Lounge Grab a latte or meet your mentor. New dentists are encouraged to join seasoned professional dentists in the Mentor Lounge in the exhibit hall. Mentors and mentees can meet in a lounge area on the exhibit floor to Explore the Exhibitors together, visiting booths and discussing how to get the most out of the Annual Session experience.

Learn about evidence-based dentistry in the time it takes to floss your teeth! Stop by the evidence-based dentistry (EBD) booth in the exhibit hall at Annual Session to learn about EBD. If you're wondering what we mean by the phrase and how it applies to your daily practice of dentistry, the EBD booth has the information you need. EBD is really just another way to read and appraise the literature you are already reviewing to maintain your expertise.

To make the EBD process even easier, the Academy, as you may know already if you have been reading the EBD PDT articles (see AAPD's EBD page1 for links to articles), is working on AAPD's firstever EBD guideline. The topic of the guideline is pulp therapy in the primary dentition.

Visit the booth for more information on the EBD process and to learn about free EBD resources you can use to answer your clinical questions!
